Working creatively in different areas of children and young people’s lives can contribute towards meeting national and local priorities and achieving outcomes around lifelong learning and health and well-being.
“Skills in media and the arts prepare pupils for further education and careers in the creative industries, which are recognised as a growth sector in the UK”

Staying Ahead: The economic performance of the UK’s creative industries
Our projects can:
- Give young people creative tools and opportunities to express themselves;
- Engage pupils who are not responding to the mainstream curriculum, increase attendance and reduce exclusions;
- Build arts, media and ICT skills;
- Build social, emotional and life skills and
- contribute to longer-term educational achievements and life opportunities;
- Promote community cohesion and integration through the production of high-quality media and art by young people, families and community members;
- Help develop schools as effective, creative learning environments, exploring and embedding creative teaching and learning across the curriculum.
