![]() At this year’s DocFest Hi8us South wants to involve documentary filmmakers in a dialogue with young people about building effective outreach and impact campaigns around documentary films – exploring the power of documentary beyond the box office. ![]() #TruthAndYouth at Sheffield DocFest brings together filmmakers and young activists from major documentary film projects with youth-led outreach campaigns to share ideas and learning about how documentary film can be used to make a difference. ![]() Shake! is a 5 day programme that provides young people with space to imagine what justice looks like, experiment with new ideas, learn new tools and fire up the imagination. ![]() We’ve produced 4 new short films as part of the work we’ve been doing with Poplar HARCA housing association to help them increase resident participation and develop digital tools for community engagement. ![]() The Spotlight Youth Centre is a “world-class youth centre” being built by Poplar HARCA to serve young people across the London Borough of Tower Hamlets… ![]() In the midst of the climax of possibly the greatest event this city has ever seen, last Saturday (August 11th) at Rich Mix we screened the outcome of the first phase of our work with a group of young Bengali men in Bow West. ![]() We’ve always been fans of motiroti’s work. So we were looking forward to working on their latest promo video and, as it turns out, were right to. ![]() The box office returns on opening weekend of any film is a major driver for its success. Following the sell out premier at Rich Mix, Town of Runners, an independently produced documentary, opens in no less than five cinemas on its opening weekend. We’re encouraging all our friends to get out there between the 20th and 22nd of April to see it. ![]() With Stop & Search well and truly back with us and the security measures being touted for the Olympics it’s important that young people in the East End in particular check out this short piece we’ve made for Newham Monitoring Project featuring Benjamin Zephanania. ![]() We’re currently shooting a new doc-promo for the Barbican’s Creative Learning department. |
