OUR DIGITAL FEATURE FILMS
We are exploring ways in which the new digital technologies and the Internet can enable the production and distribution of low budget feature films made within the collaborative and empowering ethos that informs Hi8us’ work.
Our digital feature films include:
Heavy Load is a documentary cinema feature being made in collaboration with a rock band whose members are a mixture of those with learning disabilities and those without. It is due for release in 2008.
The Crew (working title) is a low budget feature project being developed in collaboration with young Grime and Hip Hop MCs, and is exploring the potential of the internet as both a marketing and distribution tool in finding and developing audiences that are not served by mainstream film production and exhibition. We plan to go into production in 2008.
