Beatz! Camera! Action! Was a Hi8us South project, initially set up to support developing young musical artists, who were aspiring to make positive contributions to their lives and communities!

Beatz! Camera! Action! Was established in 2005 and worked with more than 70 young musical artist in East London, across different music genres, to develop their artist profiles, portfolios, video treatments, action plans, business plans, mix-tapes, live performance showcases, workshops etc.

12 groups created their own music videos, which were accepted for transmission on Channel U, MTV Base, Community Channel, UK Sound, Rewind online magazine as well as several independent new music websites.
Young people ran 2 live events: “Is Grime a Crime”? And Role models.
Many of BCA participants have progressed to setting up their own businesses; record labels and performed at major venues, events and festivals.

One of the projects participants “KOSHA” has recently been signed to “Seventy Entertainment” record label and has supported US Rap stars “Flo Rida” (Birmingham NEC) and “The Game” (HMV Apollo, Hammersmith) with his debut album due for release late 2009.

Hi8us South continues to be committed to supporting its youth constituency, many of which are:

Rappers, Singers, Songwriters, Producers, Engineers, Musicians, Actors, Script writers Editors, Directors, Camera persons, Web Designers and Young Creative Entrepreneurs.
