Accreditation

Formal accreditation provides affirmation for participants of their achievement and delivers a process and tools that they can use to measure and achieve awareness of their development. Recognised accreditation schemes also facilitate career progression.

Hi8us South offers accreditation to participants through the Arts Council Arts Awards, a progressive personal learning programme with GCSE equivalence that assesses both arts-related skills and transferable skills (creativity, communication, planning and review, teamwork and leadership).

Peer Educator and Mentor training is accredited through ASDAN. Approved under the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) with GCSE equivalence, ASDAN measures the development and achievement of personal and social competencies that underpin life-long learning and social inclusion.

In addition as part of the Goldsmiths Skillset Media Academy, Hi8us South runs programmes to support Creative Apprenticeships in the Media Industries. We also deliver the Media module on the Goldsmiths University of London Cross-Sectoral & Community Arts MA programme.

We apply all of our accreditation schemes by embedding them into creative activity using personalised rich media blogs to record achievement and further develop participants’ IT skills.
