L8R Youngers is the junior sibling of L8R, Hi8us South’s BAFTA Award Winning interactive drama which is used in 13-19 formal and non-formal education across the UK. The six “webisodes” were aired as a 30minute programme on BBC2 in March and will be available online at the BBC Learning Zone.

Hi8us South ran workshops in primary schools with Year 6 students and in secondary schools with Year 7s to develop the script and then auditioned Year 7 students for lead parts in the series. The episodes were shot with a professional crew during December 2009.

The webisodes can be seen on the BBC Learning Zone and Hi8us South is now working with Lewisham Council’s Education Authority to develop supporting teaching materials for a DVD release of the series.
