Set against the back-drop of the Olympic Park, Olympic Dreams [working title] is a film devised and performed by young people from Langdon Park School and shot by a professional crew.  The script, devised through drama workshops with the participants, is an articulation of young people’s thoughts and concerns about the arrival of the Olympics to their locality.

How will the games impact on their community? What opportunities, if any, will it present for them? How will things change? The film juxtaposes familiar imagery of Olympic competition against images and a narrative rooted in the stories of the young people’s everyday lives growing up in one the most deprived areas of the UK.

Due for completion end of 2010.
