OUR SHORT FILMS
Producing short films with, for and about young people is a major strand of our work.
We make a range of films using a variety of processes:
- Hands-on film production
Professional film-makers support young people in learning and delivering all aspects of creating a short film – creative, technical and production.
- Devised dramas (and documentaries)
Young people work with professional creatives to devise, write and perform a script which is shot by a professional crew. Young people are assigned to the crew as trainees.
- Commissioned projects
Films made for clients. We are commissioned by many organisations, mainly in the social and educational fields and we use participatory drama and consultation techniques with young people to create the content. As with our devised dramas, our commissions are shot by a professional crew with assigned trainees.
The films are shown at local community centres and schools, cinemas, film festivals, on Channel Four and BBC, as well as online via our own websites and sites such as YouTube and MySpace.
