YOUNG PEOPLE’S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (YPDP)
2007, 10 mins

The Department of Health’s Young People’s Development Programme was a three-year pilot scheme funded by the Department of Health and Department for Children, Schools and Families.

Twenty-seven youth projects across England delivered an intensive programme involving arts, sports, health, volunteering, mentoring, and educational support to very marginalised 13-15 year olds. The programme aimed to tackle risk behaviours, especially in relation to teenage pregnancy, substance misuse and low educational attainment.

This DVD introduces YPDP, how young people and those working with them felt about participating and the benefits it brought.
