ARTS AWARDS

The Arts Awards are nationally recognised accreditations for young people interested in the arts and arts leadership.

We have pioneered the use of blogs as online portfolios for trainees to submit their work towards Arts Awards accreditations. Trainees work towards a Bronze (Level 1) or Silver (Level 2) Arts Award.

UK Sound TV Arts Awards Trainees
Throughout 2007/2008 UK Sound TV are running programmes for 16-25 year olds who are economically inactive and not in full-time education. Young people participate in one of the following programmes:

• Bronze Arts Awards Digital Video Production and Blogging Programme

Trainees gain hands-on experience in camera, sound, editing and creating their own blogs, and an insight into the arts and media industries operate.

• Silver Arts Awards Video Production Programme

Trainees are supported by professionals to produce their own original film/documentary, and gain first-hand experience of working as part of a team that replicates how the media industry operates.
