I feel it’s important to bring different kinds of people in, it enriches it, it gives people opportunities that they otherwise wouldn’t have.

BRICK LANE TRAINEE SCHEME
Hi8us South devised a training scheme providing 7 trainees with paid work placements in the Costume, Art Department, Make-Up, Production, Assistant Directors, Lighting and Camera departments on the highly acclaimed feature film Brick Lane.
The scheme’s objective was to provide opportunities for young people in London who are disadvantaged and face discrimination in the audio and visual media industries.
We designed a programme that would enable the trainees to build on their abilities and improve their prospects of progression in learning and employment and act as a powerful catalyst for change in employment practices in the audio and visual media industry.
